Monitor won't detect computer after new CPU cooler install

I recently installed a new aftermarket cup cooler. My stock cooler wasn't getting the job done and had to be replaced. After installing it, I plugged everything in and turned on my computer. I heard the HDD and fans all turn on, but my monitor just won't detect my computer. Please help!
