So i'm trying to do dual monitor with
Gigabyte GTX 970 G1

My main monitor
Samsung S23B300 23.6inch
VGA with adopter to DVI-I

My second monitor
Hp V185e 14 inch
VGA with adopter DVI-D

I always get "check Video cable"
with my second monitor

but when I plug my second monitor to the DVI-D it works

I think its the adopter DVI-D is broken but my friend tested it and it works before they bout it

or do I need to tinker with the first settings?
or is it incompatible?

ask me for more information if need
thanks in advance!

Solution
"My second monitor
Hp V185e 14 inch
VGA with adopter DVI-D
"

That won't work.

VGA can only carry an analog video signal, whereas DVI-D can only carry a digital video signal.

The two are incompatible.

DVI-I can carry analog video.
