This is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/P9gwMp.

I am currenty playing on a BenQ RL2455HM. While this s great for competative console gaming, its colors seem rather terrible, and the 60hz would never do my 970 justice.

I am looking for a monitor with no tearing. I am scared of getting a monitor and then it tearing when playing FPS games. Also, GSync is a luxury, but not a must have unless ita for a good price. I really don't want tk spend more than 400 of I dont have too.

Monitors I have looked at are the BemQ XL2430T, AOC G2460PG and G2460PQU, and LG 24GM77.

Thanks

A monitor with G-Sync would definitely lower your chances of getting tearing, if you are that concerned about it then i would get one with G-Sync, however what sort of resolution are you looking for?

So, you need a monitor with a high refresh rate, (120hz/144hz) To eliminate the visual effect of screen tearing. Your GTX 970 is a good card but it will not be able to achieve that high of a frame rate for a lot of games without compensating on graphics. So G-Sync would be very handy here. Most of these high refresh rate monitors are also TN panels, which don't have as good a colour palete as IPS.

I can't speak for what you've listed but if you could stretch your budget just a little, the Acer Predator has everything you ask for, and it's a great monitor.

EDIT: Sorry, if you're working dollars then that monitor is way way over your budget.

this monitor looks like it might fit the bill -http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-XB241H-bmipr-1920x1080/dp/B01C05C1OK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1460140903&sr=8-2&keywords=monitor+144hz+G-sync

however it is a TN panel so colours will not be as good as an IPS but then the price will break your budget.

I am not that worried about colors. Just my current monitor isn't anything to write home about.
