My system will have an Asus Strix Nvidia GeForce GTX 980Ti OC for the graphics card. I don't think my CPU is relevant for a monitor but just in case, I will have a Intel Core i7 6700k.

This monitor is not for gaming, so I don't want G-sync/Free-sync monitors, but I will be developing some games.

I would like the resolution to be 1440p or better (maybe even 4k?) and the response time preferably around 1-6 milliseconds.
The refresh rate does not really matter much as long as I will be able to overclock it. (But it always helps if it comes at 100hz+)

Built-in speakers are a MUST. I won't need them to be powerful, as long as they are there.

(And if it has cool bonus features then yay! (less flickers, good color reproduction, etc.))

I've been looking at Asus PB278Q and PB287Q.

What are your thoughts, are there better options, can by pc support the monitor?

(Feel free to give multiple suggestions)

Thanks! :)

I would also suggest to take a look at Dell 2560x1440. 4k monitors in your budget would be below 32 inches. The ppi would be very dense. You would have a ton of real estate but the interface would be tiny. You would have to use dpi scaling which as we all know is far from perfect.

There are also 32 inches monitor at 1440p around your budget. They should be pretty amazing for developing.

Why would you want to develop on such small screens? Under $500 I guess thats what you'd almost be stuck with
...
I would look at one of the 4k Korean monitors like the perfect pixel Crossover 324k for $440, its 32"@ 3840x2160, your 980ti will push it but its going to make the 980ti work for it.. There is also a Crossover 32s thats 32"@2560x1440 and true 75hz and freesync.
