Critical_Proccess_Died HELP Please!

Before anyone assumes anything, I have tried many "Solved" solutions to this problem so I am looking for multiple solutions here.

Working on a computer and every time I either restart the computer or just simply let it sit in normal mode, the computer will crash on restart or in normal mode with "Critical_process_died" and the error code is listed as 0x000000ef.

Some of the fixes I have tried:
Disabling start-up programs (No fix)
Disabling non-Microsoft services (No fix)
SFC.exe (doesn't find any errors)
Updating drivers for every single item listed on Dev Mgr (No fix)

The only luck I had was booting into Safe Mode with networking and that finally didn't crash but the device was brought in for a virus removal and I'm worried the virus won't reveal itself in safe mode which is probably why it won't crash.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I will try anything at this point. I could probably try for a clean install next but I would like to try to fix it without a clean install.

The unit is a Toshiba laptop running windows 10. I wish I had more details on the unit but it's at work and I'm at home.

run chkdsk on the drive, see if it finds any errors... I don't know if these would work in safe mode: http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/items/faq/596

I am basically looking at the steps in this thread: http://www.tenforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/28035-bsod-when-playing-cs-go-error-0x000000ef.html and assuming a Toshiba laptop wouldn't have Seagate hdd's so bending their steps a little.

you already done SFC but maybe try DISM as well - see http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-update/system-file-check-sfc-scan-and-repair-system-files/bc609315-da1f-4775-812c-695b60477a93

Will do. Was talking with a coworker about the unit after I posted this and he said its a common issue amongst Toshiba and Lenovo. Says he may have a fix for it. I will post if his solution works. If not, I will try it out when I go back to work Wednesday. Thanks for the help.

Update: Toshiba apparently has this issue A Lot according to my coworker. The issue solved with the following:
Had to update Bios Firmware via Toshiba's Software management function. Once we updated that, we got away from the crashes. There was also a 3rd party audio software that was causing a few crashes. There was a corrupt/missing file for the audio software and it was trying to close on restart/shutdown every time and would cause the system to crash because it was missing data. Once we updated BIOS and uninstalled the program, we were able to continue our work. Thanks for all the help from the community.
