1440x900 MONITOR or 1920x1080 TV

I have to choose between 1440x900 Monitor and 1080p TV,which will be better?
Even though tv is at higher resolution I can barely see the difference in quality.
Which will be better? Monitor or TV??

There are so many variables - distance from the screen, pixel density, quality of the screen. It's hard to make a simple, singel answer.

On a screen with higher resolution, you can fit in more "things" - be that a larger scene, or more lines in your Word document, or icons on your desktop.

It will be used mainly for gaming
What would u prefer? 1440x900 MONITOR or 1080p TV?

dude... I sit in front of two monitors - one 1920x 1200 and the other 1680 x 1050. I'm about 24 inches away from them. I've no idea what your setup is. I did mention that distance from the screen would influence my choice, but you didn't even bother to talk about that. You didn't mention frame rates for the games you play, nothing. I can't guess.

I'm really sorry for the lack of information,the distance from the monitor is just the regular thing and I sit about 6 feet away from the TV
And i use a GTX 970 so FPS isn't a problem it's usually 60 in both the screens
