How to back up a new system image to a factory recovery D drive?

I recently upgraded my windows 7 to windows 10. On the D drive was a factory recovery image for windows 7. Now I want to back up my windows 10 system image to D drive, but I could not do so, it directs me to the E drive which is the CD/DVD drive.
Is anyone out there can help me?
