First build: Computer powers on! No display.. in monitor :(

Hi Everyone,

I prematurely celebrated my first build powering on..

Everything on the computer seems to be powered on, fans on, motherboard lit up.

The Acer monitor however initially shows the "Predator" logo shows up but then disappears and is replaced with "No Display". Seems like there is no feed to the monitor from the PC.

Any suggestions? I don't even know where to begin trouble shooting as this was the first power on...

Try booting it with hdmi cable and then switch to display port when it's up and running. Turn off balanced power in windows settings and change to high performance.

Changing the cable has made no difference.

I've followed the trouble shooting guide provided on these forums (very thorough btw) but have checked off those items.

My motherboard has an AE error but from what I've found that indicates there was nothing to boot from. I haven't included a disk since I wanted to make sure my display was working first.

I've taken out the video card to try to boot directly from the onboard video card and I end up getting the same "No display" on the monitor.

Lastly, I verified the inputs and the monitor isn't on the wrong "channel".

Any suggestions?

My apologies, embarrassed to say that the 2 pin that is part of the other 6 wasn't fully connected. Smh. I've reached BIOS!
