144Hz Monitor worth the investment?

Hello,

I'm considering a new monitor for my PC (specs on my sig, but basically a 2600k @ 4.3Ghz with a 380x OC 4GB). It's a gaming PC, but I'm not a crazy spender. At the moment i have a 24" HP 2448HC monitor, but I find the quality a bit lacking. My goal is to spend about €300 on a new display. Would it make more sense to get a new 24" gaming led display with 144hz, or just a better 27" led display, with the standard 60hz? I don't think I'll be getting 144fps with many games with my setup, so...would it still make sense to get a 144hz display? What's your thoughts on this?

Well depends on what games you play. If you play graphically-intensive games then a bigger and higher res monitor might be better than a 144Hz one.
