Sony Vegas Pro 13 curtain video unplayable/black screen

Hello, I have been using sony vegas for years now and never had this problem. I reinstalled quicktime, and I tested to see if it was working with any other video and they work just fine. I don't know if the video is corrupted, or if it's Sony Vegas's issue. The video is an MP4.

The issue will most certainly be with your application since the video seems to work with other players. You can rule out Quicktime being a fluke run by installing K-Lite codec or MKV player and see if the files run on it as well. Most often a corruption from the OS's files can lead to anomalies like you've stated above.

Try performing a repair install and see if the issue is averted.
