Among the "drives" that appear on the Optimize/Defragment dialog is one named "System". It is located on my SSD. On that list, in the column "Current Status" the notation is "Needs optimization." I have tried to defragment, but when I execute the defragment command, nothing happens. How can I defragment the System?

Solution
You do not defrag SSD's.

In fact you should disable that option as defragging is not good for SSD's.

The optimization software is recognizing that you have an SSD and therefore will not permit defragmenting.
