Volume mixer master volume not working

I hate to have to ask such a nooby question here but I can't figure this out for the life of me. I got a new computer today and the volume mixer isn't working properly. I can turn down each program individually, but the master volume control has no effect on volume at all. Even muting master volume doesn't change the volume. I tried googling my issue but I struggled with finding anyone with this exact problem.

I've updated windows and my audio drivers.

what brand and model is the computer?

its a fairly unique problem, have you restarted pc since getting new drivers? sometimes things go odd after updates and a restart may fix it

can try running the playing audio troubleshooter

nothing unfortunately =/ I have to probably return this one anyway as the gpu seems to be failing. 3 White screen crashes so far.

Sounds like a plan. sound and vision fail.. send it back, ask for a better one. Or at least, one that works.

If it were a dell, they would just send you a new motherboard
