Dell U2412M monitor freaks out

Hello i am having problems with a Dell U2412M monitor that i got from my brother, i use this as a secondary monitor

it is normal for about an hour and then it freaks out with these lines, the brightness flickers to bright and dark in 5 seconds intervals and the screen moves to the right. it is hooked up with a vga cable, i know that the cable isnt broken because i had another monitor hooked up to it before this monitor.

i highly doubt my specs has anything to do with this but ill post them anyway

-win10 64bit

-msi z87-gd65 motherboard

-ati radeon r9 280

-8gb ram

-500w corsair

for me it looks like a problem in graphic card :/
look at swollen capacitors on graphic card do u have some of them?
or maybe u have cold solder problem and u should bake ur graphic card ^_^

i had another monitor hooked up in the vga port about 2 hours ago and it did not have this problem

yes i have the old monitor plugged in right now and no problem
and with the same cable

than ure lucky is the monitor issue probably he got capacitor or resistor issues...

if those are problem ofc is fixable, u should get it to some electrical serviser to check are all capacitors and resistors fine...

i think i actually fixed it. i disasembled the monitor and then reassembled it (might have knocked th circuits around a bit) i think it was a loose connector

yeah that could be a issue also i had similar problem and i dissamsembled monitor and reassembled it and it worked fine
