Factory Reset Aftermath Help

Alright, so I reinstallined windows after getting a trojan(probably not the best decision but I acted on impulse) and placed the new windows install on an ssd, not the original hard drive. However, there is still a 12 gb windows folder on the original harddrive. Is this a problem. My main concern is that is it possible for the malware to return from said folder. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah of course is a problem, if u had trojan in ur old windows folder it is possible to get it on new one...i suggest u to format both partitions with old and new windows, and then install new one on ssd.
