DVI-I to VGA adaptor or cable?

Hey, guys.
I have a cheap LED ASUS VS207DE monitor (1600x900 res.) which has only a VGA port and I'm currently using a DVI-I to VGA adaptor for my gpu. My question is, will it be any difference or it's the same thing if I'll use a straight DVI-I to VGA cable rather than using the monitor's VGA cable with the adaptor, since on VGA the cable's quality does make a difference, or used to?

Cable quality can still make a difference, as it's still analogue. But over a short distance it's not usually an issue, and the cable supplied with the display probably wasn't too great anyway.
