How do I get dual monitors to open up different browsers/applications on each screen?

I have my laptop hooked up to the docking station , which are hooked up to dual monitors. I keep getting the browser, google chrome, and control panel on my left screen, but I would like my browser to open up on my left screen and my google chrome and control panel to appear on my right . How can I do this ?

Open the application you want to appear on the left screen. Position it as you like
Open the application(s) you want to appear on the right screen.

Now close both.

Generally, Windows will remember where it was last, and open it in the same place next time.
