Ram sometimes changes from dual channel to single channel randomly

Sometimes I'll come home from class and try turn my PC on and the ram will have popped into single channel mode and underclocked my CPU and lowered the voltage to 1.350V. I think it's a motherboard problem but aren't sure. Any ideas?

Make sure that all cables/wires are connected properly.

Also ensure all DIMM's, video card, and CPU (and it's cooler) are seated properly and evenly.

Reset CMOS.

I believe the CPU and GPU are seated correctly but I haven't checked the cables. And I just reseated the DIMMs this afternoon, which does fix the issue but it can happen again randomly afterwards. And I reset the CMOs a while back trying to fix it but it didn't work.

Check that the DIMM pins are not damaged or missing. And check that there is no dust, dirt or debris within the DIMM slots.

Exchange position of DIMM's in the slots.

Try one DIMM at a time and in different slots.

Try some other known compatible DIMM's, and/or try the original DIMM's in another computer.
