MSI Z97 GAMING 5, cant get my second monitor working with hdmi or vga :( HELP!!!

either vga or hdmi doesnt work. theres no dvi port on the monitor so thats not an option

Ok so your problem is, you can get display from your gtx 970 but not from your motherboard ( meaning the integrated gpu of the i7). So go to bios and see if you have disabled the integrated GPU (many motherboards automatically disable the integrated GPU when a dedicated GPU is plugged in).
