4K video playback problems

Hi,

I just bought 4K TV, and im using it to watch movies thru PC. And watching movies it seem like PC not getting job done, video playback is not smooth. But when i try to play games at 1080p there's no problems, games are smooth.

What could be a problem? I need more powerful PC?

My PC:

CPU - FX-6300
RAM - 8GB
GPU - GTX 660 2GB

Try a different video player, some players are very CPU heavy and single threaded. When running a 4 k video look under task manager and see if any cpu cores are hitting 100%

What player you suggest? For now i was using windows 10 default player, because VLC not working with 4K.

Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra is probably the best video player of all. Been using it for 6 years.It isn't free though but plays everything.
