Very strange problem with monitor - small moving line

Hi, i've got a strange problem with my monitor - not quite sure how to explain it.

Basically i sat back down at my computer and for the first time saw this small line near the top. I thought it was a small crack at first, but i rubbed it slightly and couldn't feel anything. So i rubbed it a bit harder and the line fell down the screen slightly.

I tapped it a bit more and it fell further again, surely it can't be a crack/chip if its moving like that and i can't feel anything there - it almost looks like a small hair stuck in the screen.

Its small but quite noticeable now - if anyone could offer some advice on what this could be or how to possibly fix it i'd appreciate it. I guess it must sound weird though.

sounds like a piece of hair stuck behind the screen. keep tapping it carefully til falls all the way down to bottom of screen.
