Hi, I'm new here and I need some help.
I have a HP Notebook Laptop connected to an external display with a unifying wireless device - the Logitech K400 Plus Keyboard. I put the laptop to sleep to save battery power. Now here's the problem; I'll have to physically open the screen door just to get it to wake and its something I do not want to do every time. HP parts are expensive. -_- Its a new laptop but still...they do NOT last.

I have the same issue when the batteries goes dead and it goes into hibernation mode. I'd have to open the screen door to press the power switch.

Thanks.

Hi and thanks for replying. I checked and I couldn't find it..... or I may have missed it. I looked under every rock while I was there. Where or which tabs should I have been looking under?

It would probably be worth mentioning I had gone the "Device Manager" route, which did not work while testing. So I went into it again and unticked the "Allow this device to wake the computer" before going into BIOS as you suggested. Would it have made any difference?

For anyone reading, this might work for you. >>>>>

Open > "Device Manger"
Double Click > "Human interface device"
Right Click > "HID-compliant system controller"
>> and select properties
Click > "Power Management" tab -->
Tick > "Allow this device to wake the computer"
