How to connect two computers with two wireless routers in two separate buildings ?

I am not each savvy nor up to date on the latest technology, so researching the Internet has provided more questions than answers. I searched this forum, and others, but couldn't find a recent post with similar routers.

I have a Cisco EA3500 router in my house. My sister has a Netgear N824v3 router in her house. We are about 1000 feet apart. Actually we are closer than that, but haven't measured the exact amount. There are no trees, or supports to run a cable on, so we would like to connect our two WiFi home networks together using a different method.

We are willing to buy new routers, and purchase antennas. What is the best way to connect our two computers ? What are the best devices to purchase ?

Any advice is appreciated.

Why do you need to connect the two networks? Chances are it'll be far easier and cheaper to do whatever you need to do across your respective Internet connections, or pop round in person.

Has anyone had any experience in doing this ? I was looking into the outside WiFi antennas to extend our networks, and that seems the best option.

I have experience with this.

Why do you need to join the two networks? What are you trying to achieve?
