Bad performance in games after installing windows 10

Ok so basically i upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7 and i was getting bad fps in games (games had lag spikes etc).So i decided to go ahaid and do a clean install of windows 10 to see if the problem still appears.Apparently the problem is still here and i cannot find a way to fix it.Yes i have updated my GPU drivers and everything..I even rolled back to previews driver versions but it still happens..I dont know whats causing the problem can someone please help me ? When i was in windows 7 i could play the games that i play fine without laggs.It all started when i installed windows 10.
specs:
AMD athlon x4 750k
Radeon HD 7770
8gb ram

Have you ensured your graphics drivers are current? AMD.com for the latest.

Yes...I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers for my GPU (crimson 16.3.2)

What about drivers for your motherboard? Chipset drivers, etc?

Well...i have had this pc for almost 3 years and i didnt install any chipset drivers or w.e...My games were fine but when i installed windows 10 everything got messed up..
