Additional Comments: For my GPU I plan on waiting for the GTX 1070 since I was already planning on getting a GTX 970. My main concerns are with the Motherboard. I don't plan on doing much OCing with this build (I will save that for when I get my degree and get a decent job), so I doubt I need some beefy board, but there are so many more boards than there are GPUs and CPUs, and the reviews are often impossible to go by (only people who have issues seem to rate), so I would like some advice here. I mainly went with the MSI because my current board was an old AMD MSI, and I haven't had any issues with it.

Why Are You Upgrading: I plan on buying a new PC over the summer with some of the money from a part time job I am taking (No summer classes available at my college, so I have a summer free) and I would like some opinions on my upgrade. My current $500 budget build from a few years ago is great, but it was a hastily thrown together build after my old clunker of a build finally bit the bullet (MoBo failure), and so it struggles with the games I want to play (Fallout and Skyrim once I actually starting playing around with mods)

The parts I plan on keeping from my old PC are my CPU fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO , my case a Cooler Master Elite 431 Plus , and my HDDs etc.

I went a $11 above your budget to save that you can go with Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4 2666 instead of 3200

The price is good, I was expecting to hit 1100 or so anyways.

Any particular reason to go with the i7 over the i5? I thought the i7 was pretty much a waste for gaming since they don't make much use of the hyperthreading.

Also, could I get some opinions on that Motherboard as to what makes it a better buy other than its price? That is the main thing I was interested in getting opinions on.

It is not like you will always be gaming in future if you decide to do some extra stuff i7 comes in handy.
