I game on a Lenovo y50, and I recently purchased an ASUS VG248QE for gaming. I have 2 GPUs- a NVIDIA 860m and a Intel 4600. This laptop doesn't have VGA, DVI-D, or DisplayPort. Only HDMI. I have an HDMI cable that supports 144hz @ 1080p, but for some reason, whenever I try to select 144hz 1080p, the monitor blankscreens and I have to change the settings back fo 1080p, 60hz. Does anyone know the cause of this? Like, is it the monitor, or the hdmi, or my GPU? I am fairly sure it is not the monitor since- long story short- I have tried this with two ASUS VG248QE's and it has not worked with either. Please help!
