Hello,
I have some problems.
I just got my new PC finished and I am using my SSD from my old PC for OS.
I got an i7 6700k and overclocked it to 4.8 @ 1.4V, temps are ok.
But when I play games such as GTA V my PC freezes and gives me a BSoD.
No problems using Intel XTU stress test. The freeze does not occur at the start of the game, it occurs when I'm playing around 10-30 minutes.
All my PC fans are connected to an PWM hub, which is connected to the CPU Fan plug.
I already updated all drivers and removed unused.

My PC:
i7 6700k @ 4.8, 1.4V
Asus Z170-A Motherboard
2x 8GB HyperX Fury 2400
Palit GTX780 SC
CPU Watercooling Enermax Liqmax II
Corsair HX1000i

Today's first crash:

Second crash:

What I already done:
- Set CPU voltage from 1.39 to 1.4
- Stress tests (No problems)

I dont really know why it freezes.
Sorry for my really bad english.

Hi,

Does it happen as well if you put the CPU to it default or does it happen when it's only overclocked? Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to set the CPU back to its default and see if the same problem will persist when you play games with it.
- Next is to do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Nvidia graphics driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to Nvidia.
- Once completely uninstalled, download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
- Reboot the PC once the driver has been installed then test it again.

Might help to dl latest drivers and bios from here: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-A/HelpDesk_Download/
acpi.sys is power management so it might have been the overclock.
ntoskrnl is the heart of windows and is generally not suicidal

Crashed again, playing GTA V for about 30mins

What I done:
- Nvidia Drivers reinstalled
- BIOS Update to 1801
- CPU overclocked

Without OC everything works fine.

Have got that error multiple times and it came down to be a bad gpu driver. So what I did was entering in safe mode (with internet, cable connection) and head on to device manager, check if you see any device with a yellow exclamation mark and if so see what it is and google it and get the latest driver for that specific device.
