Connect PlayStation 4 to Monitor With Built-In Speakers

Hello, i still have connected my ps4 to TV but im going to buy monitor, my choice is ASUS VE247H With built-in speakers and 3.5mm input jack. i want to use speakers becouse I can not use headphones for too long. i had read several forums and everyone said that built in speakers are terrible, so im going to use external. I want to know what if i will connect ps4 to monitor with HDMI and then external speakers to monitor with jack. so will it work ? and will monitor built-in speakers turn off ? or it will be better if i go with monitor that doesnt have built in speakers

some people says built in speakers are terrible , if i will connect speakers to minitor will external and builtin speakers work together as fine ? or i should turn off built-in speakers ofc if its possible.

if correct when a device like headphones or external speakers are plugged into an audio port, it turns off the internal speakers.
