Current Windows 10 User swapping motherboards

I have a question and I was wondering if it would work or not. I decided to get a new motherboard and CPU, and i realize that windows 10 authentication is tied to my hardware. Would it be possible to do a clean install of windows 7 and then do another free windows 10 upgrade? Is that still offered, or am i forced to buy an oem copy of windows 10?

If your Win 7 actually activates with the new hardware, no problem.
You have until July 28 to Upgrade to Win 10 for free.

You can install Windows 10 using an ISO downloaded from Microsoft (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-upgrade) and install a fresh copy of Windows 10.

No need to mess with reinstalling Windows 7 first.
