I just made a new rig with a 980ti and a 6700k and I figure it's time to get a new monitor to get the most out of my money. All I've ever used is 1080p 60hz monitors. For games like Fallout 4, GTA and some occasional fps, what would be the best monitor I could get in the $400 range? Thanks.

Solution
I feel the 980Ti is more suited to a 2560x1440 144Hz panel. Newegg has the XG270HU for $350 right now which is a heck of a deal. The sale ends today.

If you are looking for the best Nvidia suited option at 24", specifically, then it would be something like the AOC G2460PG. 1080p TN 144Hz G-Sync

However, for $350, the XG is a much better deal IMO. Granted, it has Freesync that you won't be able to utilize but 144Hz 1440p is well worth $350.
