27 inch imac as a display for pc

Hello, I need a new monitor for my pc. I got a end 2009 27 inch imac, can I use the imac as a monitor for my pc with a mini displayport to hdmi adapter?

no as the video ports on the imac are for outputs not inputs & the imac has a videocard in the way of your computer's videocard.
