OS: Windows 10 Pro
Laptop: Dell Latitude E6220
Wireless Adapter: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205
Modem/Router combo: Comcast Xb2

Problem:
Wi-fi adapter not working, and only with my laptop. Connection works fine will all other wireless devices. Until a few days ago, had no issues with the wi-fi.

Upon running Diagnose on wifi adapter, Win10 returns "your computer Appears to Be directly Configured, but the Device Or resource (dns Server Is not Responding)"

Win10 reads the wi-fi off the Comcast box as "No Internet, secured" and displays the system tray icon as a strong wi-fi signal with a yellow ! sign.

Things I've tried:

-Setting DNS to default ("obtain automatically"), to OpenDNS, to Google DNS. This applies to both ipv4 and ipv6.
-modem router combo hard reset (comcast xb2) using reset button, and also power disconnect
-dns flush, also then using ipconfig cmd prompt to re-register dns, then release and renew.
-manually switching off/back on wifi on side of laptop
-double-checked active services as listed here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/your-computer-appears-to-be-correctly-configured/89f0f675-cb59-494c-ae80-5593d9b29c20
-uninstall/reinstall wireless adapter

After disabling the wifi adapter and re-enabling it, the system tray wifi icon appears WITHOUT the yellow exclamation point, but then appears within 20-30 seconds.
