I am looking to buy a new rig and sell my old one. I have a Cyberpowerpc Fangebook 3 and it comes with a GTX GeForce 780m (GPU), i7 4800MQ CPU 2.70GHz. 17 inch display with a red light up key board. 6 USB Ports. windows 10 64 bit, 16 GBs of ram.A single terabite hard drive accompanied by another 117 GB hard drive. So my question is, how much money is this laptop worth currently?

How much did you pay for it and how long have you owned it?

I payed a little over 2,000$ and it was around 2014. I can't remember the exact date off the top of my head.

That helps but doesn't really matter. Straight line depreciation would devalue it this way (say salvage value of $275):

Year one - ($2000 - $275) = $1725
$1725 * 0.2 = $345

$1725 - $345 = $1380

Year two - $1380 - $345 = 1035

Year 3 - multiply it by how many months you have owned it (May would be 5/12) - $345 * 5/12 = $143.75

$1035 - $143.75 = $891.25

That would be the estimated starting price. If you sell it over it's considered a gain on sale, if you sell it under it's considered a loss on sale.
