Hello everyone. I recently completed my new PC thanks to the people on Tom's Hardware who helped me achieve it. However, i am having a problem with my new BenQ XL2411Z 144Hz

CPU: i5-6600
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 (1x DVI-D, 1x DVI-I, 2x Displayport)
MOBO: MSI B150M Mortar
Monitor: BenQ XL2411Z (1x DVI-D, 1x DVI-I, 1xHDMI)

I bought a BenQ XL2411Z 144hz monitor but i am having trouble getting that 144hz.

I am using a DVI-D cable directly into my GPU DVI-D Dual Link (http://cdn2.pcadvisor.co.uk/cmsdata/features/3365585/DVI_connectors.jpg Fourth one from the top.). I can see the 144hz option from both my Screen Resolution (Desktop > Screen Resolution > Advanced Settings > Monitor > Screen refresh rate: 144 Hertz) and NVIDIA Control Panel (Nvidia Control Panel > Display > Adjust desktop size and resolution > Refresh Rate: 144Hz).
However, when i attempt to test this through online tools such as

http://www.testufo.com/#test=inversion
And
http://www.testufo.com/#test=framerates

the test reveals that i only get 60hz and 60 FPS.

The following are additional information and some things that i have tried in order to fix this
1. Changing the DVI-D port to DVI-I(Dual Link) (http://cdn2.pcadvisor.co.uk/cmsdata/features/3365585/DVI_connectors.jpg second one from the top.)
2. I bought a new DVI-D (Dual link) cable today and tried it on both ports. Still on 60hz.
3. Drivers for my GPU and my monitor are up to date.
4. I am unable to get audio from my monitor. (In my playback menu, i have numerous NVIDIA HDMI Output (Port 0 - 3)). Does this mean that i can only get audio from HDMI? If so, since my graphics card doesn't have a HDMI port, but only DVI, DVID and Displayport, what kind of adapter would i need?

This is the information from my Monitor Menu:

Input: DVI
Current Resolution: 1920x1080@144
OptimumResolution: 1920x1080@120
Model Name: XL2411Z
(It clearly says 144Hz.)

And this is the information from my BenQ Service Page:

Model Name: XL2411Z
Vender: QISDA
Panel: AUO M240HW01 V8
Scaler: MST 8556T
F/W Version: V004-20141205
HDMI HPD: On
DVI HPD: Off
Logo: On
Auto Power: On
Internte Cafe: Off
Strobe duty: 020
Strobe phase: 100
Single Strobe: Off

Does anybody have any ideas?

If i am unable to resolve this issue, I will try to get a HDMI adapter. Any ideas on if i should get a DVI to HDMI or a Display port to HDMI (for both 144hz and audio)?

Solution
I normally use Firefox as my default browser, but i installed Chrome for testing purposes and both were capped at 60hz/60 frames.
I found the answer to my problem though.

1. After installing your drivers, go into Nvidia control panel and go to Change Resolution. Make sure every monitor is set to their highest color output.
2. Then go to Adjust Video Color Settings, under every monitor you have hooked up set "With the nvidia settings" and under the advanced tab set Dynamic Range to Full.
3. Reboot.
4. Change back to 144hz.

Following those steps, i was able to fix the problem.

A couple things, over 120hz + vsync isnt supported on that test in internet explorer, and you may have to enable GPU acceleration in browser in Google chrome for you to get 144hz test to play. I think your software limited
