Can I connect a DVI-I graphics card to a DVI-I monitor using a DVI-D cable?

Im planning on buying a graphics card but my current monitor broke down and I have to use an old 4:3 one. It has vga and DVI-I. The Graphicscard also has a DVI-I. Now I have a DVI-D cable at home, will I be able to use it? Or do I have to buy another one?
