help finding new 4k monitor g-synch

Solution

Hey dude, G-Sync and FreeSync are both designed to smooth out gameplay, reduce input lag, and prevent screen tearing but G-sync is supported by NVIDIA only and not any other vendor while FreeSync is supported by AMD only and no other..

So if you have an NVIDIA video card -- Go for G-Sync or if u have an AMD card go for FreeSync..

The ASUS MG28UQ is a Free-Sync Display optimized for AMD Video cards, the only comparable option for a G-Sync Monitor is the ACER XB280HK..

If u have an AMD video card and need a Free-Sync Monitor then the Samsung UE590 UHD 28" monitor ranked #1 by 4K,com would be better than the MG28UQ, in my opinion..

Actually gamers going for G-sync and FreeSync are generally high-end users looking to spend around $1.5-2K on a GPU/Monitor setup..

AMD is a very good budget option but NVIDIA is costlier but its cards run a little cooler.. As of today, the best GPU on the market for a $700 is the GTX 1080, if u want to game at 1440p/4K -- Full-Ultra settings @4K will probably require you to get 2 GTX 1080s.. But if u are looking @ 1080p like most users, the about-to-be released GTX 1070 is probably the best option..

Gaming at 4k is rough and is at best 60hz with most GPU setups struggling to hit 50fps with medium settings and STILL bad frame-rates.

1080/2k high hz is the way to go if you're a gamer, going above 60hz is a game changer and being able to get enough frames per second to enjoy high hz is also needed. It's always better to have an excess of performance vs a lack of.
