Hi guys,
So i'm facing a BSOD quite frequently that names ntoskrnl.exe as the issue.
Based on this, I've gone to my mobo's software support page (msi h97 gaming 3) to get the latest drivers. Specifically the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver which is meant to be the culprit. Unfortunately, the event still occurs. Any advice? Many thanks in adv :D

Solution
looks like I just did a bad query for your motherboard and found the gigabyte site.
so yes, use the driver from the msi website.
-bios looks like it is up to date
looks like the motherboard audio driver is updated on the website.
your version RTKVHD64.sys Tue Apr 19 03:31:00 2016
website version 2016-05-06
killer network driver e22w10x64.sys Fri Aug 28 14:05:38 2015
looks like there maybe a update dated 2016-03-08

-------
I will take another look, I may have looked at the wrong memory dump.

looks like there are a bunch of driver updates you need to install:
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4997#dl

I figure it is this audio driver that is the problem: (get the update from the above link)
MBfilt64.sys Thu Jul 30 20:40:32 2009

machine:

Really many thanks for helping me out Johnbl. I want you to know I really appreciate it :)
Just want to check though, my mobo is MSI, not Gigabyte. I've installed all the available drivers for it from here: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/H97-GAMING-3.html
But now you're suggesting that I download from the Gigabyte support site instead? I am happy to do it, just wanted to make sure that there was no misunderstanding. Like I said, really REALLY I'm super appreciative and grateful for your help!
