To start off, I will have two gtx 1080's. And obviously this is an opinionated topic. But I want a 4k experience and I was not sure if the PG348Q would look even close to as good as far as image quality is concerned, since there are more pixels on 16:9 4k displays. I like the idea that the pg348Q is really immersive and higher Hz, but If the visuals are significantly different as far as resolution then I would probably want to go with a 16:9 true 4k monitor. and are the 16:9 monitors overclockable ( these monitors in particular). PLEASE HELP!

Solution
The pixel density is about the same. A 21:9 34" is about as high as a 27" 16:9 and, obviously, wider.
The pg348q also has a net advantage in the fact that it's IPS. Nicer to look at, with richer colors.

EDIT: look here

The PG348Q along with the Acer X34 Predator are widely considered to be the best gaming monitors ever made and for good reason: they hit the perfect balance of features: 34" 21:9 1440p 100Hz IPS with G-sync(which is a must!).
4k is overrated and it's not quite time for it yet. What would you do iin games that don't play ball with SLI?
Also 4k is too much resolution for anything upto and including 21:9 34" and 16:9 27" and you wuold have to use high DPI setting in windows which is not a good experience.
1440p is the sweetspot. Plus, 21:9 ultrawide is fantastic for both gaming and productivity.

I have an rog swift pg278q right now 1440p . But is a pg348q have a more clear picture than a pg278q? Doesnt the pg348q technically have a higher resolution?
