Nvidia Drivers are causing major issues

Everything was working fine and I didn't change anything on my PC.

I decided to check for the latest Nvidia Drivers and mine was from March 2016. I tried to install the new Drivers but the unpacking took forever then when I finally got it going it keeps freezing. I have tried the 3 latest official Drivers.

Sometimes when I Ctrl+Alt+Del it goes to a Blue Screen before the task manager eventually shows up. On that Blue Screen it says "Preparing Security Options".

I also got a BSOD once and it said "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"

CCleaner keeps freezing and so does OCCT. I have tried completely removing my old Drivers with Guru3D Display Driver Uninstaller but that doesn't help either.

Does anyone have any ideas or solutions? If you need more information I would be happy to look it up.

Thanks for the help as always; this community has been very helpful to me.

Sorry for the wait and thanks for the help. I just downloaded the new Driver and let it sit for a while and it made it through but it says "Nvidia Installer Failed".

It says "Not Installed" next to everything except Graphics Driver where it says "Failed". It also says "Not Selected" by GeForce Experience since I don't use it.

I have
Phenom II X6 1090T
16gb 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM
EVGA GTX 970 SSC
Windows 10 64 bit on a 120gb SSD
2 regular HDD
Corsair CX 750m Power Supply
