I have Windows 10 pre-installed on my Dell Inspiron 7000 and I would like to dual-boot it with Ubuntu 16.04. I am having trouble doing so through s bootable USB. From various forums I have understood that this is due a UEFI issue - however, I am not exactly sure how to proceed with this. Is there a way to install Ubuntu without switching to Legacy Mode and switching off secure mode. I am completely new to this so I would like to understand which is the safest way to proceed.

Thank you!

download a Ubuntu iso from Utorrent and flash it on a pendrive using "rufus-2.1". then restart ur laptop and boot into ur pendrive and install ubuntu on a empty partation. or u can also run it directly from pendrive without installing it but thing is that u always need to connect ur pendrive to laptop to use ubuntu.
