I am totally confused on this. I am assembling a pc in 2 weeks and cant figure out which display i should go with.
First is 144hz 4k monitor from benq and 2nd is 4k tv samsung 55js9000 120hz.
The specs for my pc are here :

I am little inclined towards tv beacuse duh! 55 inches of screen to stare at... But wouldnot be cool if it started teAring in games. What you guys suggest... Please help me out on this one. Its really boggling my mind.

Most tv's that claim to be 120hz are really just 60hz panels with some digital trickery that can make tv and movies look twice as fast, but will NOT work with a PC input. 98% of TV's lie about this. Go for a 144hz monitor. G-sync is still just expensive for no reason because Nvidia feels the need to stay proprietary even though Freesync is a free technology, so if you're not comfortable sepnding the extra hundreds, just get a cheaper 144hz monitor. I recommend this one:http://smile.amazon.com/AOC-G2460PF-24-Inch-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01BV1XBEI?ie=UTF8&keywords=AOC%201080p%20144hz&qid=1465425690&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

The Sony X810C would actually be a great option, and it's a VA panel, better image quality than TN.
I guess you're only obstacle is price, but if you're okay with that, that may be your perfect fit.
I used to have a 40" TV as a monitor, and I sold it and just opted for a smaller monitor becuase of both response time, as well as pixel density, but I guess at 4k, pixel density won't really be an issue
