I have a 24' Samsung monitor, pretty simple one http:// , nothing special. I mainly playing FPS games and fast-paced games,so was thinking I could benefit more from a 144hz Monitor, especially with FreeSync. I wasn't playing FPS games before, but ever since i started,I feel like the image is so slow and not smooth when playing games.
Initially I thought going for 1440p 144hz,but my R9 390 won't deal with that demand and ofc it's pricey. Not sure how big of an improvement 1440p(on 60hz instead) would be in terms of graphics, but because of my game style, a 1080p 144hz would be a better choice for me

After over watching the forums for couple of days I came to choose between these monitors:

Aoc G2460PF FreeSync http://
Viewsonic X Series XG2401 http://
Nixeus Vue 24" NX-VUE24A http://

Price wise they are close to each other,I'm just not sure if these have some different features that might be worth going for them instead?

Any help is appreciated,thanks.

P.S. Haven't mentioned about the 144hz 27'' inch monitors.Are they better for 1080p or should I stick with 24'' ?

Solution
I was leaning towards the Viewsonic myself. I'm only on an amd r9 380, so i figured id go all in for when I get a 1070/1080, so I got a 1440p, 144Hz, Gsync.

I was thinking to sell my R9 390 and buy a 1070 or 1080 and eventually get a 1440p 144hz GSync as well,but that's just too much money :D
NVIDIA's GSync monintors are too pricey comparing to the AMD's FreeSync. Considering that I've just recently built my rig last year in November,I'll just calm my gaming nerd desires with a 1080p 144hz monitor for now. :)

Thanks for your reply.

Thats what I tried. I upgraded in March, but grabbed this modest 380 to hold me over, previous was a gtx660.
That newegg store credit was burning a hole in my pocket.
I wanted to try 144Hz. so I looked at those. then felt bad that it wouldnt be a big upgrade. the wife wanted to go with 27". then 1080p is more rare and might as well got 1440p. then might as well go 144Hz. then this one was on sale at newegg, might as well go gsync, and force my hand later for 1080....

It's pretty sad you can't utilize the GSync for now.
How much FPS you are gaining with that 1440p 144hz on average in games?

I havent tried much yet. I just ran into Overwatch initially to see. With it on high I was getting 120hz at 1080. At 1440 it was around 60-70, but still on high.
Ill need to play around with it. For fps ill prolly stick to 120 (for some reason 144 isnt coming up as an option just yet) for fps, and do 1440p for single player stuff.
