I need help deciding between an amd build vs an intel build

amd build:

fx 8350
Corsair Hydro Series H115i
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB
2 ASUS Strix Radeon R9 390 8GB
Corsair RMx Series RM1000x 1000W
MSI 970 GAMING motherboard
Corsair Carbide Clear 400C case
240 gb of ssd and 1tb hdd

Intel build:

Intel Core i5-6600K
Deepcool Maelstrom 240 Liquid CPU Cooler
Kingston HyperX Fury Black Series 16GB
ASUS Strix GeForce GTX 970 4GB
Corsair Graphite Series 760T case
Corsair RMi Series RM750i power supply
240 gb of ssd and 1tb hhd

Both come around the same price. Just wondering if it would be a smarter choice to go with the intel processor or go with the amd build which has more gpu power.

what do you think I am wasting money on...it could help me save some money if I could get some alternatives... thanks for replying

CPU cooler, case and PSU seem overpriced.
Corsair isn't anywhere as good of a brand as they want you to think.

I don't know where you're buying from or what choices you have though.

http://www.canadacomputers.com/system_config/ ....getting it from this website the 2 builds i chose were Cavalier IGC-III and Samurai AGS-III ..... for the gtx 1070 I have to wait 2-3 weeks before they start including them in the builds, I know this because I called them and asked

a prebuilt eh....

well, the wait is worth it really. The 1070 is stronger as the $1200 card from the 970's generation.

And actually you can get NCIX to build a PC for you for only $50 (much cheaper than those other prebuilts, and you get to select better parts)
www.ncix.com/detail/pc-assembly-and-testing-with-6c-7842.htm

And here's what I'd say to get from them:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($299.99 @ NCIX)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper T4 70.0 CFM Rifle Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ NCIX)
Motherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING M5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($229.99 @ NCIX)
Memory: Patriot Extreme Performance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($69.99 @ NCIX)
Storage: A-Data Premier SP550 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($73.99 @ NCIX)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($67.99 @ NCIX)
Case: Cougar MX300 ATX Mid Tower Case ($54.99 @ NCIX)
Power Supply: XFX TS 650W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply ($98.98 @ NCIX)
Optical Drive: LG GH24NSC0 DVD/CD Writer ($19.99 @ NCIX)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($124.99 @ NCIX)
Other: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Armor OC 1556/1746HZ 8GB GDDR5 G-SYNC VR Ready Video Card ($579.99)
Total: $1650.88
