I'm not sure how normal this is, but one of my svchosts, specifically svchost(netsvcs), is taking 11-12 percent of my CPU resources at my desktop. It's actually the only thing taking up any CPU resources. Everything else is 00. Of course, when I suspend or stop it, the system becomes unstable and I have to perform a hard reset. 11-12 percent seems high. RAM usage seems to be running at 2.50 or so out of 16GB, so that seems unaffected. I stopped my Kaspersky antivirus, but that didn't change anything. This is a Windows 7 64 system. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Ok, I found something on this site regarding the Windows Update Service being the usual culprit. Sure enough, I just stopped that service in the task manager and BAM!, CPU usage went way down. Even Memory dropped to 1.75GB. This service however likes to come back on, even though I told it in the settings, so I'm going to disable it from startup in msconfig. I guess that's ok to do as long as I check Windows Update every now and then.
