mmm kinda figured. i know dp to dp matters in terms of length and format particularly in higher resolutions/refresh rates. wasnt really sure about how much dp to hdmi matters for basic 1080p 60hz. thanks.
DP to HDMI requires an active transceiver. I would get a separate adapter (~$10) and cable since that gives you extra flexibility to mix and match adapters and cable lengths in the future - if you ever need DP-to-HDMI of a different length, you can simply buy a new HDMI cable instead of a specialty DP-to-HDMI of the exact length you want which may cost $10-20 extra. An in-line transceiver even opens the possibility of doing half the run over DP and the other over HDMI if you need an extra-long run.
As long as it is "Fulfilled by Amazon" and that power wires for the display ID chip aren't backwards, it doesn't cost you anything to try it and find out if the reviews are correct for yourself.
