Buying a large tv to use as a gaming screen.

Got new pc about a week ago with a nvidia 1070. I want a large 40inch plus tv so i can watch 4k movies and game in 1440p

I dont know alot about screens. I do know i want a large screen and i will be about 9-11 feet away from it. just seeing if there is something better out there. thank you for your help.

FYI the 120 Hz refresh rate isn't going to make this screen look any smoother in games or movies. The response time is far too low on most TVs to see a benefit. It's really only useful for 3D content. That's just one of the trade-offs of getting a TV and this causes quite a bit of ghosting in high action scenes

In addition, scaling can often be an issue with many TVs. There's a good chance that you are not going to want to use 4k resolutions with that TV because everything would appear very small and would have a lack of detail. I know a few people who have 4k TVs and you pretty much have to set the resolution to 1440p or you can't read anything.
