I have installed windows 10 on my new PC and and when I got onto the desktop I could not connect to the internet. I figured out the problem was that one or more network protocols are missing. I went onto then internet for answers and I tried everything including resetting my pc. Nothing seems to work and this is my only computer.

Solution

Hello again merc577

Looks like the cable to the network switch is disconnected or broken and needs to be fixed. You can check the cable at both the endpoints, i.e. the connection point at your PC and on the router.

In case of wireless network, rebooting the wireless router might help.

Cheers!! :)
Hello merc577

Can you please check if the Ethernet or Network Adapter or something related to that is turned on in the BIOS of your computer?

Many times the network controller is automatically turned off after BIOS update and this may be the case if your computer is new and the vendor updated the BIOS before handing it over to you.

For more accurate solutions, please provide us with the exact error that is displayed, and if possible, the error code as well.

Feel free to report back if further assistance is needed.

Cheers!! :)
