A better GPU set up

What would be a better GPU set up:

Dual Asus GTX 660 ti in SLI

or

A Single Asus GTX 970

?

Going by Passmark scores (8661 for a 970, 4703 for a 660 Ti), and the typical best case scenario 80% boost from SLI, you're going to be at roughly 98% of one 970 with two 660 Ti cards.

Don't forget though that with a 970 you won't have to worry about games that don't support multi GPU well. Plus you could always add another 970 later on and do well even at very high res on games that DO support it well.
