Shortcuts randomly changing their icon size, how to prevent this?

I have a gaming folder, and inside it shortcuts for the games that I have. And for some reason they keep changing the pixel size of the icon, I relocate the icon and they go back to normal for some time, until it happens again.

Most of them are Steam games, some of them have original .Ico file, others have custom art, downloaded from the internet/community made.

Am I the only one that has ever had this issue?
