my newly bought widows 10 key wont work

So i just built my first pc, and i ordered a windows 10 home oem product key from best buy. I created a bootable usb and tried installing from it with the key, but it told me the image did not match the key. The package came with a disk, so do i have to boot with it or will my usb work? if not i dont see what the problem is.

As far as I know, the USB and DVD should be the same file. I would contact Microsoft as they are the only ones who can help you with the right key. Or Bestbuy

The version of the key must match the version you are attempting to install. Window home key for windows home. Windows pro key for windows pro
