I am planning to start making YouTube videos and lots of people recommended the AverMedia GL310 LGP Lite, however when I was looking at reviews on several websites, users have reported problems with windows 10 not finding the device. Please clarify the situation and if it is incompatible, could you recommend one for less than £100?

Thanks

What exactly does that have to do with the capture device?

@OP, what are you trying to do exactly. Are you playing games from a console or on your PC? Is your PC at least half decent?

I just use Bandicam for PC recording. The customization is awesome. Records 1440p60 flawlessly. My editor on the other hand is a bit slow to render but powerful (Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13).

That linked article above is a bit misleading. Not sure why they put the basic version of Movie Studio up against the full versions of the other software. Platinum does in fact work with 4k video and has image stabilization features if you need that. On top of that it is was rated lower than the product that bugged out during rendering. Funny stuff!

Yes among these are Pinnacle Studio and Adobe Premiere Elements in which You can do Video-capture and editing.

That means that any hardware is compatible with any of these capture device. some s/w even come with the h/w. Like Pinnacle:
